The federal government of the United States States has regulations for boat builders and boat parts for consumer safety. These rules represent an extreme condition testing and ensure that the boat parts are used in a safe way to prevent accidents.

Why do car manufacturers not installed compasses as standard equipment on cars?
This is the simple and navigation tools more basic since the dawn of time. Boat manufacturers install as standard equipment why not car manufacturers? I know you can get items such as 'luxury', such as digital compasses. I am aware that you can not compare very closely to the board, due to electromagnetic interference, however, compasses work fine when stuck in the WinShield or near the peak. All the cars I've had, I went to buy a compass. This should not if necessary. People are so lazy today, can not even see a paper map.
